CURRICULUM

The School follows the CBSE curriculum.

Hands on education, student-centric learning methodology, experiential learning, skill-based training are some concepts we have adopted to enrich academics here.

It is a proven fact that the children being born in this digital world are far ahead in their thinking processes and there is a paradigm shift in the trends of education over the past decade.

Art education has been introduced by CBSE in all divisions of class 1 to 12 for developing creativity and appreciation.

Keeping in mind these shifting trends of education, we offer a curriculum, which emphasizes activity-oriented teaching and creates opportunities for the children to observe, explore, analyse and conclude thus making them independent learners. Every class from Grade 1 is equipped with SMART boards incorporating the latest electronic technology. The interactive board turns a typical classroom into a fun learning environment. It enriches classrooms by providing hands on collaboration and creating the perfect learning setting. Integrated innovations in pedagogy, knowledge and application such as human science with technological innovations to keep face with the global trends in various disciplines.

Co- curricular activities complement and enhance the academic structure of the school.

CLASS  STRUCTURE

Our school has ‘Jewel box’ our Play class, Kindergarten, Primary, Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary  sections. All classes are designed to make sure that the child has academic as well as life skill education imparted by well qualified teachers. We engage the children with experiential learning as well as child centric activities to make learning joyful and stress-free.

We also have included Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in our curriculum.

Remedial classes for students from 1 to 12 has been arranged in the campus where we focus on individual attention to understand concepts.

School Assembly is divided into general, class wise and house wise with new reading, quiz and other innovative sessions where there is active participation by the students which also encourages public speaking.

KINDERGARTEN PROGRAMME

PLAYCLASS, LKG AND UKG (All air-conditioned)

Sabarigiri English School, offers the Jewel Box - Play class programme and Kindergarten Programme which inculcates in children the qualities of curiosity, exploration and discovery in a fun-filled, safe and happy learning environment. At the school, the emphasis is on developing students self-confidence and the ability to effectively communicate in English. Teachers ensure this through effective use of language and by encouraging children to express themselves freely.

A well-balanced curriculum and theme-based instruction help the young minds integrate their learning smoothly.

The Kindergarten Programme makes use of a range of individual and group activities which create a lively and positive learning environment. Games, songs, creative projects, story-telling, role-playing, drawing and painting help develop children's foundational skills in literacy and numeracy. They are encouraged to play, explore and discover through dance, music, art and craft. Sports activities help in strengthening coordination and motor skills, and instil enthusiasm for sports. Picnics and field trips enhance students' understanding of their surroundings. We make sure to actively celebrate festivals as well as sensitize them to multiple traditions and cultures. We have a lush green picturesque KG park for them to do outdoor activities.

We are the overall winners at the Sahodaya kids youth festival for the last 3 years.

PRIMARY SCHOOL

Primary School starts from Grade 1 to Grade 5 for academic success in middle school, secondary and higher secondary levels. Our dedicated teachers, outstanding academics and varied enrichment classes all contribute to a challenging, yet nurturing program.  We give due care whether your child is academically gifted or has learning differences making use of remedial teaching.  Excellent achievement scores illustrate our academic success and happy, well-rounded children reflect our positive learning environment.

We provide training through computer lab, library, music, art and craft, yoga, karate, roller skating and physical education.

MIDDLE  SCHOOL

Middle school comprises Class VI – VIII. The curriculum followed focuses on preparing the students for the CBSE exams. At this stage, the students have a choice for II Language and III Language. The Scholastic Subjects are:

Language – English / Hindi / Malayalam / Sanskrit

Mathematics, General Science, Social Science, Computer Education, Art, Music and Physical Education. Robotic lab is another boon for them.

Secondary School

The curriculum for Classes IX and X is based on CBSE syllabus.

Subjects:  English - II Language- Malayalam / Hindi / Sanskrit

Mathematics - Science & Technology, Social Science

Non-scholastic subjects: include Computer Education, Artificial Intelligence, Art & Music

SENIOR SECONDARY

Sabarigiri English School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, an all-India Board. The CBSE envisions a robust, vibrant and holistic school education that will engender excellence in every sphere of human endeavour. The Board is committed to provide quality education to promote intellectual, social and cultural vivacity among its learners. It works towards evolving a learning process and environment, which empowers the future citizens to become global leaders in the emerging knowledge society. SENIOR SECONDARY

The Senior Secondary section comprises Grades XI & XII. The school timing for the Senior Secondary section is from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm. The school follows a 6-day week schedule.

Streams for Plus two

Career Guidance and Counselling sessions are organized throughout the year for the students of the Senior Secondary School and for others.

SCHOOL ASSESSMENT AND PROMOTION

The school conducts term wise exams and open houses to update the parents with their ward’s performances. The Promotion list is prepared by the teachers at the end of the academic year and informed to the parents.
